Found some today. Some in workshops, some in mil bunkers. They're out there.

The spawn rate was increased a bit with the last patch ... so they should be less rare now.

you really need to let people make crude ones, like we work with the improvised sewing kits, using things like oil, cloth, etc. Only good for a few uses but if your area simply dose't have the cleaning kits, it can be a lifesaver.

Carry two weapons, every weapon in game is a rusted piece of ♥♥♥♥ that has been sitting in a damp bunker or some crate exposed to the elements. Even after its clean as soon as the oil burns off from a few dozen rounds, you are going to be left with a rusted pos.

Spend hours searching for a decent weapon, spend hours searching for a weapon repair kit, find one, repair said weapon,2 boxes of ammo later, either toss weapon and resume search again,or carry a weapon you cant use till you find another repair kit.Not everyone can sit in front of their computers for 5,6 hours like some,a lot of players just want to be able to hop on for awhile and have some fun,and not spend their whole time searching for things that they just spent ages searching for to make things work.Repair Sim in the making if not careful.

I think Scum isn't designed for the occasional instant fun.
Though you could try events in multiplayer (or that new tournament thing, however that may work).
or you wait until more AI are implemented and you go to SP where you can spawn what you need for some fun.

I think if they decrease the speed of weapon degradiotion then it´s perfect. The weapons degrade just too fast.

Can we also get a pvp flag , a I win button and a ' can I play Daddy ? ' difficulty setting while we are at it . :steammocking:

Depends on your definition of fun.

I average 4-5 hours a week (when I'm lucky) on a vanilla and the feeling of finally finding that (whatever) I've been looking for is pretty cool. I mean, just looking for stuff is dangerous (players, not environment) so it makes looking / looting fun (for me)

That said, there are plenty of high loot servers for instant gratification if you don't enjoy the grind of a vanilla server.

HELLO MY FELLOW SCUMMERS.

Just wondering, with people complaining about the difficulty finding WRK 's how about weapon cleaning kits, craftable weapon cleaning kits that allow you to clean your weapon after use, this would slow down weapon degradation, but not stop it completely, once the weapon reaches a certain degradation point you would need a repair kit to repair the weapon fully, if you don't at least clean your weapon then faults, jams and degradation would happen more quickly what do you guys think???

They still degrade way too fast. It feels very unrealistic in my not so humble opinion.
With such weapons you couldn´t go and fight a war, they break apart and malfunction after shooting a couple rounds. This is not realistic at all.

This is just anecdotal, but the other day had a 100% M9 and put 4 rounds through it and it dropped to 99%. By that math you can put 400 rounds through the gun before it become inoperable. Seems a bit harsh, but I havent done any testing since I am on an official server and I dont wanna burn through my gear.

Try the oldschool shotgun, it becomes inoperable after shooting a couple dozen puppets. I made a lootrun at the navelbase yesterday and the weapon went from 100% condition to 55% in one run, I had to switch to my knife to keep going which was not fun, because those armored military guys are really tough, but the shotgun became so unreliable that I couldn´t use it anymore.

Given how fast this thing degrades I won´t use it again and put it back in a chest. Not worth using.
