Bluetooth headphones stop working when the game is open

I can't use my bluetooth headphones when i open this game. the sound just cuts out completely and not just for the game, my whole PC stops sending sound to the headphone despite them still being selected as default audio device.

on top of all this the game crashes when i start changing my PC audio settings trying to solve the problem.

is this a known problem is there a workaround?

Yeah,...there's an issue with bluetooth audio devices connected to the computer when playing SCUM (or the other way around).
Had issues with my bluetooth soundbar too, up to crashing the game and the computer.

I could even imagine that other issues/crashes when playing SCUM might come from some devices that are connected via bluetooth (even if not related to sounds)

I've had a quick chat with some devs about it some time ago (beginning of the year or so) and it was said they are working on it.
No workaround as far as I know.

thanks for the info! I have other headphone i can use for now. i'm glad it isn't just on my end, and that it is a known issue.
