How hard is
it to find weapons and loot in this game? Is it as terrible as DayZ? Do you have fun playing this game and not just running around in a dead map with nothing to do like DayZ?

It's fairly easy to find loot, it just takes some work. There's a bunker in every sector with good gear, though you'll have to hit more than 1 or 2 to get fully kitted. And you can find civilian style weapons and clothes (like a .22 rifle) in towns. There's also a few larger points of interest with even more loot.

Finding something to do depends on what you're looking for. There's haven't implemented any of the story missions or the like yet. You can find PVP by picking a fairly populated server.

On average 4-6 Hours until you have your first working gun.
Average means you can have luck and need only 20 minutes, or bad luck and you need 40 Hours.

Burryable crates allow you to store mostly safe some stuff.
So playing nomad alike works well

The safety of bases and huge storage is broken.
So no playing as hoarder/Basebuilder possible.

unlike some would have you believe (because they are trolling and talking nonsense) you can get a working gun in mins depending on where you spawn in, what server you play on (Official or private) how populated it is, has the POI's nearest you been looted recently, and do you know where to look for guns, etc.

there's many factors to take into consideration and there's not really a straight forward answer to be honest but you can find a working gun in mins that's a well proven fact.

Goodluck on your travels in game :steamhappy:

Ok then lets say it different.
After arround 300 Hours i had arround 70 Working decent weapons
* Many cheap weapons i never lootet (9 mm pistols, .22 hunter rifles, and some better ones)
* Arround 20 i had from looting broken bases
So i just let the 70 stand.

Thats arround 4 Hours for each. On a mostly death server

:steamfacepalm: No man, just No the 70 doesn't stand.

You don't get to pick and choose and start making up crazy figures that make no sense, give a totally bad impression and are totally unrealistic, it's totally unreasonable and unacceptable

9mm, .45 Blocks, Deagles, Hunters, Karl98's, M1's are all guns even if they are not part of your preferred weapons

The Op asked...

Dye, thats my experience.

You dont need to share it, but you need to accept it.

Its the truth, and i am no idiot that can not distinguish between a stick and a gun.
And besides a few Spots i dont know (like the new one i learned on a roof at Train yard) i know most of the possible spawn locations.

Be happy if you allways had luck and found more. (Even if i guess its more wrong memory related)

there is a grind to having gear and work/loss involved in storing it. how much gear you find depends on server settings though.

I don't have to accept anything, specially your bad misinformation experiences neither dose anyone else let folk have their own experiences and try make it as good and as well informed as it can be

truth that only makes e sense in your head totally irrelevant, again making stuff up whatever "non sense" (you make No sense) comes to the top of your head

if you know most of the possible spawn points for weapons you wouldn't be talking "non sense" like you are you would direct the op and be more helpful you'r just trolling (again) man tbh you don't know what your talking about man you really don't you can't even type a coherent reply

that's right your correct there is a grind and it can depend/ be influenced by server settings whether is official or private, and the server pop etc many factors to consider

OP it depends

IF you choose a private server there are plenty of them with higher loot spawns, and it isn't bad getting loot.

If you want to play on a busy official server, its a real grind. Especially with all the players who have multiple copies of the game and alts set up at the top pois to farm loot.

***This really really really needs to be fixed.

I totally agree 100%

tbh though it's a fault with Steam and not the dev's or Scum, but they need removed non the less

Yeah ending family share was a step in the right direction, but its still a massive issue. I have more than one account, it jacks up the dynamics in game, multiple accounts need to be rendered useless as soon as possible.

Official servers would be dry enough even if everyone was using just one account per server.

hey man, i think you got jumped all over by someone who really loves scum. it definitely can and often does take a lot of time to get basic stuff going in this game (all depending on loot settings sure). i accept your view, certified legit.

one thing i dont understand is why the loot rate is so low on officials, it forces us onto private servers. maybe they want us on community to protect us from hackers, hard to say

I thought that had been the end of multi account holding when they disabled it :steamsad:

You can stop multi accounting ONLY by making it not attractive. There is no way to prevent that someone make several steam accounts and buy the game several times.

* IP is not fixed in countrys like germany
* Hardware ID can (more or less easy) be circumvented
