I disagree
Especially when it doesn't make much practical sense.
Like i said, the electric toolbox makes no sense when we have electric tools, which have been in the game for months at least spawnable.
Feels like a flippant thing to make things just more annoying, like how they added bolts and nails for pallisades and instantly took them out, or the awkward inventory they ALSO reverted. A lot of things were just made pointlessly more grindy and stupid this patch man, there is a reason they backpeddled fast.
Future build will also include electricity updates for base building and i assume hacking will also come at some point.
Having different tool-boxes for different task's is completely normal. You are using the same tool's for your car as for wood work? Do you clean your exhaust with a chisel and hammer nails with a wrench? I mean, it is possible and creative but normally every field has it's own set of tool's. It is realistic.
Guess we need a wood workers tool box, a metric ratchet set, standard metric set, compression hammer, electricity.
It can go on forever, which is why I call it stupid. Its a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game. Make arbitrary nonsense to add more grind isn't "more realistic" its just tedious and obnoxious at certain points.
electricians tools they will hold more relevance further into development
Pretty much this, hence the use of the word arbitrary.
Too bad this crowd (survival gamers) are so used to this drip feed system of pseudo content they praise it for adding a "new layer" or "extra difficulty" when in reality its pointless and vapid.
Well, it is a SURVIVAL game, so maybe "this crowd" are the ones who are right.
It makes sense that you need different tools to do different things.
Only thing it is missing is the ability to craft said new tools in similar way u can craft the old toolbox.
For example you could craft it somewhat like this:
- car repair kit: classic toolbox + screwdriver + bolts + ...
- sewing kit: few needles + threads
- gun cleaning kit: toolbox + oil + rags
- electrician box: screwdriver + wires + duct tape
- grindstone: rocks + hammer
Crafting stuff u need feels more survivalie than looting shiny things.
