mic doesnt work

tried basically everything i can think of. changing the keybinds opening SCUM then pressing windows key and setting manually the mic to input uninstalled and restarted the game got no clue what to do now. the mic only doesnt work in SCUM it works on discord and csgo only not there.

Hi, can you check in steam overlay if your mic is working? Alt+Tab when in game, choose Settings at the bottom and select In-Game Voice tab. If you press Test Microphone you should be able to hear yourself speak, if not try pressing Detect Audio Devices and repeat the test. Also, what language localization are you using?

Can you check in your default microphone properties in the advanced tab if any of the exclusive mode check boxes are set?
Also, if you have any other recording devices that are not in use, try to disable them and leave enabled only device that you wish to use for input capture.

do you have a controller plugged in? for me even if I changed the default mic settings it wouldnt work unitl I physically unplugged the controller. Idk why but the game was defaulting the mic to my gamepad that was plugged in I have to make sure its unplugged for my mic to work.
