How can i craft iron sword? I have all items to craft it but i can't (skill : survival - expert)

I can craft kunai, but cannot craft iron sword (both need same exp of "survival" skill)

Most common reason is you have 2 different shaped scrap metal. They need to be the same.

Do you have ALL the required resources? Some ingredients need more than one or two of each. have a toolbox?

I have 2 kind's of toolbox and all kind's of resources. Trying everything...In craft list this item has yellow collor and i cant craft it.

Yellow means you only have some items for the craft not all, what items is the game telling you are missing?

same deal . given up trying to make it . have had all the required things to make changed differant mats to see if that was an issue tryed with all combonitations and still cant make it . expert melee skill as well , so i gave up on it and just kept looking for guns an ammo

Can you take a picture of your craft?

its very simple. when you created your character you probally did not invest points into your survival which allows you to craft most stuff. if you have not points in survival or even if its just basic you wont be able to craft everything. hope that helps

Ive noticed even when you have the correct number of items, the total quantity of the items is not enough. A 4/10 and a 7/10 scrap metal may not be enough raw material.

When crafting with wire i encountered the same thing. 3 wire were highlighted red on the bottom left but the craft button was gray.

I hightlighed all 10 wire i had available and the button turned yellow allowing me to craft. It picked 3 of the 10 that satisfied its requirement.

We need to be able to merge wire, bolts, and other similar items to increase thier quantity to 10/10

Try manually highlighting all possible ingredients, all scrap metal, and see if it wii pick what it needs.

no im max survival i crafted a metal sword 2x and then cant no matter combination of materials used, yes make wooden sword is better not that much diff anyway and metal sword doesnt last very long not worth the bother also make metal or stone spears instead of sword hit puppets easier than swords

I've made it, and honestly its not worth it, takes about same hits as a spear to kill a zed and no dismemberment
