Storage box space

Hey everyone,

I build myself a couple of storage boxes to store different types of stuff in different boxes.
My Problem now is, that I have a box with an AKM, AK47 and MP5 and the game won't let me put a SWD in the same box, for reasons that I don't understand. I checked on another box and found out, that the SWD take 18% of space in a box. I had more then 4 times that space in my weaponcache.
Anyone here having the same issues or could tell me what causes this problem.

There is a hidden slots UI in storage boxes just like backpacks, clothes, etc. So actually you have to manage its spaces in order to put as many items in. My suggestion is putting guns in first, then items taking fewer slots.

a plant can store 36 guns/items, no matter what size
at least my ''heavyest'' plant has at least 5 huge backpacks and all guns stored in 1 place

i got plants with all guns with and all attachements on it and all have full mag.
got another plant full of attachement.
one plant full of loaded magazines
got another plant for all ammoboxes and ammo.
another plant for scrap to make bullets.
another plant for clothes and big backpacks .
plant for medicine
and a plant for food
i like to store items in plants i dont use boxes

i think the problem are kilograms... the guns are to heavy

its the size of the boxes, like the first poster said, it works like ur own backpack slot system.
if u store a huge backpack in a crate, then u can store maybe 2 or 3 guns with it and some single slot items.
if u put 2 huge backpacks in it, then the box wil be full really soon without reaching it 42kg weight limit

if a big backpack has 12 slots, and you want to fill ur box to the brim and store that backpack in it.
it wont let you becouse those are the last 12 slots that are left, and the storesystem needs the format of the 12 slots the same as you would carry a backpack in ur own backpack.

so those last 12 slots can have 12 singleslot items in it.
so best to do is store all ur multislot items in the box first.

There are 2 big slots for guns that don't fit backpack, rest is just weight based I think or slot based.

I don't know why people are even bothering to loot and store items. The servers will be wiped again so it's a waste of time. Just build a base next to the airfield or prison etc so if you die you can do a quick run and get geared again. In the mean time get looted and go exploring/hunting of other players
