Again I know there are thibg to be added but do you need to wipe the all the servers just to add content or to fix bugs?
I understand your frustration with having to repeat the processes over and over, but it's just the kinda thing they can't really prevent without something else being sacrificed (like the time it would take to test each update on an EA game to make sure the new patch is compatible with the old save files and can translate things that have changes from the old to the new without losing/corrupting data).
I don't think you do get this, otherwise you wouldn't have started this moan and ♥♥♥♥♥ thread. My guess is they didn't know it would cause a wipe and made a mistake. Which is fine. I'm never attached to my progress or gear during an Early Access.
Exactly. Yes, you buy a game in early access to get to play it early. But you do so knowing full well this is an unfinished, unpolished product. If you can't handle that, don't buy early access games.
They don't PLAN these wipes. If you understood anything about coding then you'd understand that sometimes what you've made is FUBAR and you have to redesign it. When that happens you HAVE to wipe everything because all of the saved data is incompatible with your new design. Eventually they will do planned wipes because they want everyone to start over and are testing stuff out and want everyone at zero again. Those are planned wipes. These are unplanned wipes and are unexpected not only by us but also the devs.
