Lockable Inventory Crates (Wooden Boxes)
I am tired of my stash being raided when I am not online. Please allow us to lock them.

I hope they let us bury them and add gps/uhf trackers. I am 50/50 on being able to lock them yeah it would be nice to have some safe gear weapons and cooking items but at the same time cba with hoarders. You no the type think arma or rust they horde then build a tower of power and camp.. the whole concept of the game is lost to them. Nah keep the playing field even if you can loose it at any time fair enough it encourages roaming and grinding for gear forces you out of the lazy boy arm chair to get some proper pvp and earn more gear.

Locks won't change a thing unless they were undestroyable. Then you would come back to destroyed crates. And i wouldn't like if players were able to built a safe haven where they can hord hundrets of weapons and tons of ammo.

You make good points, but there has to be like some kind of different system. I guess maybe we could just stash boxes throughout the world, so if 1 gets raided, you still got others to lean on. Maybe that's what the devs intend? IDK.

Actually are they destructible by anyone other than the builder? Lexor76 makes it sound like anyone can destroy anyone's boxes.

I have no clue about future plans for this game, i was just guessing abut a way to access other players stored loot by brute force :)
Since Bunny mentioned lock picking i guess the crate may be safe. But on the other hand i read about fortification and possibly base building in the future... who knows if they implement detonation charges...

The bigger problem is that they are so easy to spot, what helps a lock if others can lockpick.
See there only 2 way
* Make the whole island acessable with huge parts full of Bushes and Rocks with good cover
(and no pois nearby)
* allow to burry crates so that only a small latch is seeable

This moment i GUESS future will be.
Prone in a Bush
Hear for vehicles
If a vehicle is somewhere where no POI is, look there for base when vehicle is gone

WIN
Again a few Minutes work to steal/destroy the work of many hours

They can be destroyed if you have a melee weapon to hack at them with.

Once the new crafting system via blueprints is finished you will be able to position your chest wherever you please , meaning you can easily hide them in a bush somewhere.

The problem i simply see is that i found so many playerstashes all over the map that i doubt that there is a real safe position.
If you scout the island with the purpose "want to build a safe stash" you find so many of them
Arround 30 in 3 days, means one per hour.

Run arround a bunker in a 100 and then 200m range and you can nearly be sure to find something.

Near Policetowns chance is high too
And about the corners we dont even need to speak. People that want the safest possible stash try to hide in the mapcorners.
Means at the outer corner of A1, and D1 i found 3 or 4 stashes so near together thats a wonder if the other players would not saw them

But understand me right, i only try to explain my point of view. Maybe it helps you, maybe not.
Ea is for testing and evolve. So get what is helpfull for you from my posts. Thats all i want ^^

Agree, we are supposed to be escaping the island, not becoming permanent residents.

You are suppossed to be surviving, so yes lockable containers are nessacary.

There are caves being added in the upcoming patch, that should spice things up a bit. I agree with your point, and I can promise you that we will balance what needs to be balanced as the EA period continues.
