Why not just lock a few doors and set a few traps at random in high loot areas ?
torq...doing it in SP means you don't lose FP & resources.
Well, in my opinion, a few improvised mines arent really that costly. Maybe it could be a motivation to succeed? :)
And what you can do to prevent losing FP is that you can put the mine on a corner (even on a corner inside your base, though it will do damage to the walls) then go behind the wall, lean out, hit F on the bomb, then when you get the menu query you simply let go of the leaning button, you will then stay behind cover and take no damage if the mine explodes.
Easy peasy
If you're asking if there's a way to practice defusing bombs, then yes. There is a bomb disarming board you craft in the game that you can practice bomb defusal on, and theres a lockpicking board you can practice lock picking on, and you can do that in both multiplayer and single player. It wont cost you any fame or resources or any risk of dying.
This ^ :)
