Dev's come-on, the Mech's are too OP!...
I had one that was sitting stationary and pointing north.
I was at about his 160* angle/sight [to his south] and he saw/came active anyway and targeted me...
What?..they have 365 degree area of detection, no matter what direction they are facing?

If so, that is Ridicules!...

They aren't. They can be countered. Study their movements. Lots of cover usually.

Mechs need a rework before release.
They do not hear or react to shooting at them but they can hear your Footsteps wich is a bit counter-intuitive.

He probably heard you because you run too fast and from time to time they just turn around.

No, they are not.

Never run, always jog, or walk. When you run, they target you very quickly. Some protected areas are harder to get into than others. Some protected places are not even worth the effort.

Bottom line...do not get beholden to your stuff.

There is a Utube'r who have a video series of how to enter, and exit, every bunker on the map. Take a look. It's worth it.

Yea no...I was crouched the whole time as there where 3 walkers about...then suddenly.."Blah, blah, blah" in mech words...then shooting...at me!...

Here's one for the Dev's..
I was once in a domed building/hanger.
There were no windows.
I was walking about with confidence since there were no windows as there was a Mech outside..
Suddenly, I was being fired upon...in the supposed hidden, no view/windows building..
Happened over and over...
I was not hit but the mech was indeed trying...

Not good, please look into domed/long building..most likely Barracks type building...

not sure what you have experienced but they do react to shooting
if close to them they turn in the direction and start walking towards the shooting

you can even fool them a little, grenade close to them in a direction away from u, when they turn to look at it u run lol

just dont wait too long, they are random on how long they look at it untill turn around again

i have found that they react to alot.. even jogging or looting it they are close enough to u
but after they get shot at enough times they seem to ignore most things
iv had them walk away from me, shooting at it with no cover..

it like they get damaged and loose some senses.. if thats how they are designed, i hope they keep it that way

Mechs gonna have some changes - they will have new weapons and probably gonna be more aggressive. Currently mechs programmed to miss first 10 shots on player after last warning.
Learn how to deal with them and be silent, because things not going to be easier in future ;)

After further consideration...I believe even though I was crouched and steathy...I still was too noisy..

Dev's...we need a noise gauge: as per the 'Thief' series.
We need to know exactly what noise level if any we are creating...
It's only logical.
For the record, I thought I was being 'steathy'.

They usually have a 180% line of sight. I don´t know what happened exactly, I was not there, but usually if you keep some distance and keep behind them and do not run near them they won´t detect you.
Another factor is the weight you are carrying. If you are overloaded your steps are much louder.

Bored about this ''nerf Mech'' dripping, really.

Yes he didnt take time to read the 1023847 times someone explained why they should not do that and how easy is to joke a Mech, but ok its fine...

So no OP, Mech dont need any nerf and more... Bunker and POI will be way more difficult to access in the future.

Currently, Mechs are dumb, they have a quite predictable and fixed route, the first 10 bullets of them are literally programmed to not hit you and they are substantially deaf unless you run foolishly too much close to them...

So take few hours to get used with them and they will became a toy...

When we add new enemies, mechs will probably become the least of your worries. But yeah ... they're gonna get some AI changes and their weapons arsenal is gonna get expanded.

I stopped playing scum September 13 2018. Because mechs..

Making them harder just keeps me away from the game.

But I am sure you guys know what your doing. Even though your player base continues to disappear.

sad part is when the mechs are glitched and i cant leave military base because its stairing at a tree frozen mentally.... plz fix this i cant get out :/
