Wich is a very good thing cuz it would open the Doors for AFK-Skilling with Scripts and Full but empty Servers.
The devs said it was possible, not me. And It seems impossible to max out even just ONE attribute, in this case STR. That's the point.
And when I say max out I mean in a decent time in order to make me ready to fight and then lose my gains and then maybe start again with bodybuilding once I die. Or else you save my actual stats and make me revive in my old body.
Im pretty sure developers never said you can have maxed out character :) Or I misunderstood you in this one?
The metabolism leader programmer hasn't tried the thing himself I suppose. The amount of time that it takes is so large (I constantly have all nutrients and calorie balance and constantly train myself) that if you leave it this way I think you have a metabolism expert hired for no purpose because players simply will ignore metabolism...or else you save the progress after death as I said earlier. Try to figure out this by playing yourselves you're making the whole metabolism and attribute levelling a pointless thing.
I made a char with 3.9 STR - 40kg more or less of muscle mass.
I made second one with 4.5 STR - 60kg of muscle mass, 0.6 STR more than the 1st.
I want to gain 20 kg (0.6 STR) It seems legit it's not that upgrade.
I constantly train have all nutrients calorie balance everything to get the 0.1kg upgrade possible in a number of virtual hours.
I played like 6 to 10 real hours I had 0.4 kg more of muscle mass.
Let's say I manage to get 1 kg of muscle mass per real day. It's gonna take 20 days.
you CANNOT in no way make me spend that amount of time to get 0.6 STR more and then have to do that again if I die, which is the most common thing that happens in a playful hostile environment. That's it.
Not only did D1nosaur give you the answer
(it's all possible, just takes long)
you (unknowingly) found the solution;
DON'T DIE!
After all, the whole point of the game is to survive (as in, live!)
Doesn't that make the game more exciting?
If you get killed, you weren't careful and sneaky enough (or had extremely bad luck)
That said, I completely understand your concern and frustration but this game is still developing and could very well be one of the best open world survival games ever. We just need to ride out the storm called "development" first.
That's it!
Well. 1KG in 20 Day's sounds realistic to me.
I would rather spend the time to train your Real Body instead, but you can't say it is broken because it is realistic. That's the whole point of it.
I hear so much philosophy out there thank you for sharing your thoughts.
Now let's talk about facts. If you want to gain STR is because you want to use that gain to be more copetitive against environment and...yes ...players, but you don't play this game or else you might know that the majority of players is pvp oriented and the majority of private servers are pvp oriented i.e. killing other people and being killed by mechs is fun and if you want to stick to reality well I suggest to deny the possibility to revive. All of us will have just one chance then you can't join the server anymore if you get killed even accidentally by falling. If you want reality. If you want a better gaming experience you need to know the metagame and what people are actually doing in this game. "DON'T DIE" ...oh such a genius. Then tell me why your skills are saved through time and not reset as well for example. Do this and you will really see less people dying maybe. The reality is that you can't take away the time spent for a progress from a player or else you're going to lose the player's interest in using that mechanich of the game i.e. the whole metabolism and upgrading system will result in an absolute pointlessness and fade into oblivion like it was never meant to even exist. "DON'T DIE" gnegnegnegnegne -.-
Consider at some point body building could be a thing. There is just so much that is not in yet. What your talking about is probably intended to be an end game feature.
Oh, I play it; As a survivor. On the weekends in a full official server
(I don't trust private servers)
No PvP for me. I sneak around and avoid all that. Just a survivor. My goal is survival, yours is PvP.
It's all good. I get it.
My point is, your question was answered from a developer. Now what? All the yammering isn't going to change the answer....
I've been into survival, loneliness and avoiding firearms for the majority of the time spent in this game, otherwise how could I bee so interested in such a role playing aspect (I wanna become a scum personal trainer!) But after hundreds of hours played like a ptsd version of Ed Stafford, I started to meet people I joined a clan and made friends and discovered that the majority of players like pvp also because it is simply a good way to team up and be together enjoying the game. I also play during the week, not only in the weekends. And the fact that a dev answered me doesn't make me feel less frustrated and doesn't solve any problem that I'm legitimately bringing to the surface. I'm just trying to keep this game alive. We are not talking about features that are still to be added in the game because it is on EA. We are talking about a game mechanich that does not represent even an option for the player and so it MUST be changed in order to even exist can you understand this basic concept? No one puts useless features in a game are you conscious of this? There is no use for any of the upgrading mechanichs if you play alone for a few hours in the weekend. What would you use your gains for? Still being alone for a few hours in the weekend. You're soon gonna lose interest in the game I bet. I'm sorry but I play a lot I play with other people and love this game and I'm trying to give good advices based upon FACTS.
I'm also talking about optimization, the gunplay is awful...there are many things to do instead of making objects rain.
Well, I'm sure this title is going to be quite awesome on release.
And since the Devs are actively working with the community for bug reporting/feedback/suggestions, I'm sure there will be something for every player type on release. It's going to take time though.
We certainly don't want them to rush and release a buggy piece of crap like the open world survival title that just released
(I won't mention the name, think sweden-80's-robots)
