[Base building] Cannot finish blueprints

It has been a while since I last played Scum. I logged on with a friend and we immediately set out to get some shelters put up. We made a squad together and then we both placed blueprints and we started gathering the resources. He finished his prior to mine, and I cannot finish mine now. I have everything assembled except one item (i.e. a single length of rope, or a single stick) and it will not allow me to finish it. It is not red, indicating it's misplaced or that I've placed something inside this blueprints constructable area. I have destroyed and moved a reasonable distance away. We are trying to build rather closely together to remain concealed. Are we doing something wrong? I have tried to build other items as well and the exact issue persists with those as well, which leads me to believe it's not a bug. We have since set up a base flag and that has not changed the issue at all. Am I supposed to build a certain distance away from his shelter as well? Is there a way to share his shelter? Am I just unable to build anything at all, chests included, near his shelter. Also, he can add stuff to my blueprints, but is unable to finish them either.

who placed the blueprints? I seem to remember there's a bug with completing other peoples' blueprints currently.

Out of curiosity, what is your survival and engineering skill level on your character?

I placed my blueprints, he placed his. Since then though I have destroyed and attempted multiple different blueprints for items ranging from a shelters, to chests, to a head on a stick. Nothing allows me to complete the blueprints. I can add stuff to his, and he can add stuff to mine, I can finish his and he can finish his, but neither of us can finish anything that I place, unless it is way way way away from his stuff. This persisted before and after placing a base claim flag. I don't believe it's tied to the flag claim because the issue is identicle before and after placing it.

To clarify I CAN build and finish blueprints elsewhere on the map, just nowhere in the immediate area of his shelter. If there is some anti building radius near there it is not showing it in anyway, i.e. red blueprints or any type of notification that I cannot build. I can freely place blued blueprints anywhere (even right up against his shter) but I cannot complete them. If I run like 300 meters away I can build whatever I want. But in the sense of trying to remain hidden I would much like to build as close to him as possible. That way we can consolidate gear and keep our chests close by.

That is very odd - any chance you can capture some video? I can't think of any reason your friend should be able to build in a location and you can't. AFAIK there is no proximity requirement for shelters - as a matter of fact, 3 of us currently have our beds side by side by side for conserving space in our base.

As silly as it sounds, verifying game files is always a good step in situations like this. Worst case, you may need to re-roll your character.

I can capture some stuff later. I just reinstalled the game literally hours prior to this issue. But I can verify files as a troubleshooting steps. Will report later. If anyone else has any input it would be greatly appreciated.

Also, is it typical that once you destroy a blueprint, not a successfully assembled one, that you lose everything you applied to the blueprint?

Developer responded to my similar thread. Is a current known bug, and should be fixed with next patch. logging out and back in sometimes fixes it.

I have suffered this problem too, sometimes disconnect and reconnect fix the problem and sometimes dont...glad you guys are working on it

Issue has been resolved. It was either patched or relogging enough finally worked.

I am still having this issue the only thing i cant complete is the double doorframe ive tried rebuilding it 3 times and it always comes down to needing 1 more item but it wont finish building

Relogging has been working for us. Anyone that has put items into the blueprint needs to relog.
