How do we repair the improvised bed?

I want to know this too, I've gone through a few.

Since this is a base building element, repairing should be done over your flag.

This just shows how neglected and under developed claiming and fortifying structures is in the games development . Those of us not in squads/groups, the masses of solo players who can’t justify player bases, must rely of claiming and fortifying instead.

We...can’t...build...flags...nor have the benefits of a flag to protect our traps or prevent others from trapping the exterior of our structures. We like improvised beds that allow us to spawn back at our structure too. So why can’t we have a way to repair them?

you can repair but it still decays, after it decays you can spawn on that location even though there is no bed there.

Some items like e.g. Beds and (all kinds of) head on spear can not be repaired, neither directly nor by repairing them via the flag.
They have a decay timer which is shown in days and can be reseted by maintaining them (like chests). But they also have a health bar which slowly degrades and can not be repaired.
Currently you can only wait for them to vanish and build a new one when they are gone or nearly gone.

Thanks for the feedback. I will share this thread with our programmer in charge of base building and see what can be done.

Good to hear ^^
I've reported that weeks ago in a feedback thread. Btw I think all things that can be "maintained" (chests, beds, campfires, etc, etc, etc) are affected by this problem : we have to maintain them like always, but they also have an health bar that is decaying over time, and can't be repaired.
