Golden Locks are ♥♥♥♥..
In my opinion golden locks should be uncrackable, well i got raided and its not funny.. if i cant save my stuff i will quit and move on,, devs should now this.. if a player cant keep safe its base whats the point of the game/ To gather ammo and weapons and just invite ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to come and take it? No thanks.

No base will be 100 % safe, because that beats the purpose of the game, you will however get more means of protecting yourself and your loot.

Why shouldn't gold locks be crackable? Part of the game is raiding! And it is not only possible to raid the base by lockpicking as it offers several options for this. I would like to understand the reasons why you want to let the game stay when you are raided? Why don't you see it as a task to rebuild - to rebuild your base - to learn?

Getting raided and losing all your hard earned loot is a reality you need to come to terms with. Otherwise, just stop playing. SCUM is not for you. I doubt any game like this will ever provide a safe haven impenetrable by enemies. Good luck!

I don't understand this excitement about raids - especially since they're part of the game...

You can't raid a buried crate. Burying crates is a lot less time consuming than building bases. Worried about your vehicle? Find an ATV, almost totally concealable. Good luck & Good gaming.

I understood you well, but please be blandly. Scum is somethimes a mad world - full of raiders and snipers - you lose all and died before you count till 3. You can see the hole spectrum of humanity with evil sides. I think golden locks should be very hard to crack, you can build traps and mines or hide your stuff very well. Look in city (if the performance improve :)) there are hunderts of lairs or deep in forest. Have fun, test the possibilities, collect not too much and test in SP your survival strategies - learn to use the landscape, built more hideouts if you lose some :).

Just move on. All you get here is bait from people that dont play as solo basebuilder.
Maybe check in future if there are at least Serveroptions to adapt the game to solo PVEvp gameplay.

Ive seen vids on youtube of squads hacking bases. they'll have a whole backpack of lockpicks and one guy whos master at theiving that'll do the job. A lot of us just bury our stuff these days. I build a nice cabin and chests, if they want something they can take it, everything else is hidden. Don't build in busy areas or where someone can easily track you to your base..or would cross your base to ideal bunkers/looting areas.

Yeah, stashing vehicles in bushes and heavily wooded terrain seems to work. In the past it worked a treat for me at least.

One thing I would like to see in the game is heatsignatures for vehicles cooling down after use with NVGs being able to see them. Not sure if this is current at all, haven't owned NVGs for a while.

OP you must understand that picking Gold locks doesnt happen out of the blue, People put in hours and hours gathering rare screwdrivers and bobbypin boxes, saving Them until they have enough or hours and hours gathering the material needed to Craft ammo enough to break in to Double palisade walls. Think out of the box to protect your base and it Will take longer before its raided. But the more protection the more ppl want to Raid it because they think you protect valuble stuff Like cars and they want to hit the "motherload" like alot of metal lootboxes full of stuff

The lock picking balance is way off still, there are guys who have picked 8 gold locks in under 20 minutes. The time it takes to gain all those fame points for those gold locks would take weeks for a single player to gain. Most players usually quit the game once they've been raided as well, its not a good way to keep a stable player base as it is.

Well even if you made the "Lockpicking" more difficult there would be bombs and shotgun to get through the palisades .. so what would change? Loot is just not safe - that's just the way it is. So every raid option would drive out players, but I have to say that it is clearly the wrong game for such players.

The game is not for everyone, ppl try and quit for all reasons, a Friend of mine quit cause he thought it boring looting houses and mostly finding low level loot of empty crates and drawers. This doesnt mean he wont come back and try it later. Still the interest in the game is big and other Friends jump om it to try.

I have friends that jumps in getting geared from boxes and wants to go pvp but dont want putting in the work to actually look for the loot and bringing it back to base and end Up going back to arma3 or some other shooter

ppl quit the game because they get raided maybe they need a break to cool of and come back later aswell.
I have had bases raided aswell on eu official server 1 and 10 in the past but i Also learned alot of how to protect the base better, things like locations matter. Some build a base close to a main road for easy access but everyone can see it of in an open field instead of conceling it in the Forrest. The amout of Gold locks and layers of wall mattes...

But of course with the introduction of toolboxes it now has become harder to maintain and therefor defend a big base. Let the Devs try things out, look how far they have come and how polished and playable it looks in such a Little time.

(Sorry for caps in wrong places and letters out in place but im writing from cellphone and it tries to go back to my native language)

As much as I hate to die or lose my stuff through a raid..
That's the point of the game. You survive until you.. don't.

Create a base that you'll be able to defend to the best of your abilities.
And if you get raided, rebuild and get better!
"The Perfect Base" should be a player design, not a developer setting.
