But it is realistic to need to maintaince server performance.

If you think about how many boxes there are of people jumping in on a server for a day or two and then never return. It's just unecessary load of traffic going to the server.
This is a concept to reduce lag greatly by getting rid of boxes that are just there..
Hopefully the devs start culling server numbers very soon, as this is part of the problem why no one is playing, there is just too many servers. As an example there is 30 official Australian servers and if not twice as many private Aussie servers with an average of 30 players playing across all of those servers at peak times. Something has to give.
Im on 2 different servers... the populations fluctuate so I go where there are players.
Let me ask you.. do you enjoy having to maintain your boxes?
