Well, I guess if you want a scope on your M1, you will either need to find an M1C or M1D, or find a drill and tap the holes your self on your M1

The procedure required to install the M1C-type mounts through drilling/tapping the hardened receiver reduced accuracy by warping the receiver. Improved methods to avoid reduction of accuracy were inefficient in terms of tooling and time. This resulted in the development of the M1D, which utilized a simpler, single-ring Springfield Armory mount attached to the barrel rather than the receiver. The M1C was first widely used during the Korean War. Korean War production was 4,796 M1Cs and 21,380 M1Ds; although few M1Ds were completed in time to see combat.

please don't quote facts to alot of these folks.

and as i said beofre ,we need less magnified optics, not more. encouraging everyone to snipe will really mess this up.

If you get shot by a sniper it means you dont use cover and you do not move enough. And stop wining about camping. A good sniper moves after a shot.
I seen more campers with a full auto in a building hiding behind a crate then i ever seen a sniper camping.
Not like you guys run around with you,re 9mm killing everyone.

et someone who favours a M1 use a m1 with scope and who likes a SVD use a svd with scope. either way if they do not use the M1 they will use a other.
So it will NOT change ANYTHING. And as a bonus the devs already said it will come to the game. so please stop the damn discusion!
