Servers without anti-cheat on them?

I'm looking to buy this game, it seems to work well on Linux

However, although it runs it seems the anti-cheat software causes issue. So my question is, how does multiplayer work?

Are the dedicated servers? Or is it purely a click and connect? Also, more importantly can you filter anti-cheat servers or not? As I'd happily buy and play if that was a possibility but not so sure if not.
