how to chnage loot multyplier

ok so just got my own server o ngportal and woudl like to know how t oadjust loot so its 5X more than normal, ive been on servers thats 2x loot and even seen 10x loot but i just want to set mine to 5x loot.

also can soem one give me soem rough settings that they use for loot respawn times, without lagging server to much

also how can soemone tell me why when i chnage server name on gportal, i then save it but a few seconds later it doesnt save the changed name.

becouse server must be wiped clean n reinstalled then you can change your server name in cfg before u load it for the first time... ive not tryed to change my sever name on g portal but i no others work like this as wll as a ARK server did for me . so it will most likey only be editable on a full server reinstall fresh

thnaks but i think i sorted it, couldnt use |, but it let me use brackets { } and just using space between words, also if the name was too long it would reset to smll server name

yes it will be the certain charicters not allowed if is changable and if its not then the only option is to fresh install ur server and then rename

i dont mess about with my multipers but multiplers genraly work like this ,

if the setting is 1 and thats a 1 minuite timer , then turning it to 2 has multipleid that time .

if its damage and the setting is 1 . then this time for less damage were not going to multiply
were going to de multiply and go back wards from 1 to 0.5 or what ever to lessen the damge cos your not trying to increase it .

loot u have to be 50 meters away before it spawns in anyway
thats why i dont beleave in x loot servers as u need be 50 meters away for re spawn in that case u might as well travel els were .

SpawnerProbabilityMultiplier, there is that or ExamineSpawnerProbabilityMultiplier, im not sure what to chnage the numbers to if i wnated 5x loot.

do you have your own scum server or know what these settigns do on gportal?

yes i do have my own server but i dont mess with mutliplers as iam not trying to easy the grind from the standard settings of 1 .

only puppets and animal pop .

SpawnerProbabilityMultiplier - how fast items will respawn in open areas - most likely the stuff u find loose on tables etc so this to same as your

ExamineSpawnerProbabilityMultiplier - player looted items ,mostlikly items in cuboards or things u have to search .

so youd set them to same so ur spawns are all same timing . if 1 is 1 minuite 2 has multipled it .

so i am ashuming for faster spawns times youl be looking at 0. (point) digit like 0.5 half of the 1 . should half of minuite or how ever much that has decreased it . but ive not tested it my self due to i am not trying to easyer or harder the grind or play i prefer tha game how there set it as standard but that how i ashume the multiplers work . youl have to do some test . to find how u like it

what ever you call it your still decresing it or adding more i dont think you have to be politicaly correct to descus how settings work

If you need to do a server wipe/reinstall just to change the name of your server, then I'd suggest figuring out how to do so the correct way or just find another host that doesnt make such restrictions. I have never had to do such a thing in Ark. Good luck.

yes my old ark server forget who i rented it off , woulnt let me change , only on a full wipe but i not thats not the case for most think it was gamehosting.co i remeber strugling my self no funny charicters and every time it reset to my first orignal name .

i put in a ticket and even support kept doing same thing . they was trying to figer out same thing with adding a passowrd to . and i coulnt change my server name

about 5 times they tryed and said it should have pass now and every time it reset to no pass and sever name change not changed.

eventuly i figerd out if i did a fresh install it let me change the cfg add new pass and change name and on the first load heypresto it work all changed .

STRANGE BUT TRUE

Sounds like the cfg needed to be set to read only. A very simple thing but can cause a big head ache.
