Loading and reloading the M1 Garand
hey, can anyone explain how the Loading and reloading of the M1 Garand works? I used a full Clip in it, then 1 bullet goes into the chamber. I try to reload and he puts 1 bullet in the magazine, but instead of filling it the magzine loses 1 bullet. Is it bugged or am i doing something wrong?

I'm not sure I understand you correctly. The M1 can be reloaded while the magazine is still in the rifle. When you reload while still having ammo, the bolt extracts a round as it's being pulled back and locked to the rear. When doing this you'll always have mag capacity - 1 (chambered)

For an example, if you have 6 rounds and try to reload, it will extract the round in the chamber, eject it, and you'll essentially be replacing that round with a new one.

I'm curious to know, when you do this can you pick up the round on the ground? Should be one in the vicinity.

So to add to this...
When there is NO CLIP in the M1 you can chamber a round. From there, you can add a 2nd round. On TOP of these 2 rounds, you can reload again and throw another round in (kinda.

It seems to eject the one currently chambered and bring the gun back to 2/8. However, the round that was ejected is gone, not on the ground or in your bag. Design or bug?
