SCUM
SODIUM - final solution!
Hi,
so um, I didn't find anny solution to lowering sodium, many people in fact thinks that it's bugged.
So, anyone was able to reduce it? And how to do it?

To address the main question - sodium will not affect your character in any negative way even if it accumulates in insane amounts. This will be resolved once we finish reworking our metabolism system and implement it properly into the game.

Might be kidneyfailure...

A cabbage is more viable than a gun in Scum!!

No seriously... dont eat salty stuff and drink enough.
80% drinking 20% eating veggies...
Salty stuff or meat only every 2nd ingame day.
thats what ive did and i reduced it from 1200% down to 600% in about 8 hours of playtime

Sodium isnt affecting player character yet. To get rid of sodium you need to drink more water and urinate and eat less salt containing food

I think the whole metabolism system is a little glitchy right now.

I have been at 0 energy since I made my current character. The calories sometimes climb into crazy numbers like the sodium too. No amount of eating the right things has ever made it budge.

I would assume it's just a complicated system that will take some time to perfect.
Okay, thanks guys. I'll try more drink, less eat. Sounds like plan!

At some point I'd imagine getting drunk will greatly lower your sodium levels.

Its possible that there is a glitch with the metabolism, it is on our list to check it out and see whats going on. So thank you for your understanding and support <3 we will fix it as soon as possible.

all of my vitamins and minerals and stuff are up past 500% minimum and none of it is impacting me.

Yeah and realistically speaking considering how much we are running around you would be sweating a ton. Low sodium would be the outcome. You could eat a steak covered with salt but if you go run around for 5 hours you're still going to have low sodium. Its ridiculous to think that in an environment like this that you would have too HIGH of a sodium. It would be very hard to do.

I also think there is a memory leak been caused by metabolism tab, because If I restart my game and play for a while without opening metabolism tab you do not have any fps drops including memory leaks, as soon as you open it it drops to 30 fps then shut it max I can obtain then is 45-50 fps

everyone says eat less salty foods but like 99% of food has ridiculous amounts of sodium in them in the game

Anything you pick at a farm or in a garden is generally pretty good. The processed/canned foods vary. Just check their contents as you find them and after a while you'll know what has high and low levels of salt.

Don't forget that when you urinate about 50% of the volume comes off your salt level (if you're at 50% bladder your salt will go down by about 25).

If youre high on sodium, drink to piss and it will be down in no time.

SCUM metabolism has been bugged, glitchy, basically mostly broken all along, it's common knowledge to anyone who's been around a little while.

Salt does not matter for anything at this point, period. High or low amounts of it can safely be ignored. Only metabolism things that really matter now, are calorie balance and body fat %.

All of this will likely change with the upcoming metabolism update, whenever it gets here.
