It's going to be hard, frustrating, and buggy as hell but in the end the payoff is a more complete game and a happy devteam.
But that's because it's early access, the game warns you about the lack of content in the loading screen, this is what they have planned for the future:

Do you know what kind of game changing content may come in future?
Bugs/issues are completely fine, i went through many EA games and understand it. But i don't recall being confused on what's the ultimate goal in any game.
Boy do I!! https://steamcommunity.com/app/513710/discussions/0/1737715419889405829/
Anyways, it seems that either i'm missing something important or this game lacks some important piece. After several hours it feels like there's nothing left to be done (yeah probably can get better rifles, or hide some in the forest, or farm some fame points - but why?). So probably will check this game later.
Please do! It ain't much right now but I feel it can compete with dayz/pubg/fortnite all in one shot once it gets going stronger.
Your been forced to survive for the enjoyment of the viewers.
You have to watch your own metabolism, so you will not get fat or clumsy to have lot of advantages. This alone is very challanging. To fight your own Body.
You can follow the rules of the TV show. Survive against others whoo havnt and have been revived as "puppets", Computer controlled Zombi like corpses hoo are remotely controlled over theyre BCU Monitor in the neck.
Or you can try to rush into military bases, secured by TEC Mechs and try to give your self an Advantage in the TV Show.
You can either follow the rules and survive, kill others and entertain the viewers for Fame or
you can decide to escape the system if your intelligent and tough enough.
Survive as long as you can or invest famepoints to get revived alive.
Always keep in mind...
A cabbage is more viable than a gun in Scum!
Thank you very much, that helps. Maybe i've played survival games too much, i kinda stopped valuing my character's life, instead started valuing rare items / advanced buildings / etc. End-game content with other words...
It's clear that one of core elements of SCUM is monitoring your character's metabolism to survive longer, but it is not clear why.
Killing? After some amount of killing it becomes boring.
Farming loot? Well there's no decent way of preserving loot in long term or transfering through servers. So again not much of an interest.
Fame points? Well maybe if you could spend them on something valuable. I've only used to respawn near my body so far.
To all those saying "this is Early Access" - so what? I played ARK and PUBG from day one. It's obvious that EA games lack content, are buggy and have issues. But not having clear game purpose... i don't think any of those games had this issue. Maybe it's my subjective opinion, that's why i'm asking here to see what others think.
THIS ^^^ somebody post a sticky thread with this comment at the top of this forum!
