I assume you're thinking of for the Tree Bark Rope? If so...you're not looking at the material requirements. You don't need bark (it doesn't exist) you need Long Wooden Sticks.

5 long wooden sticks and a stone shard will craft you the rope.

or 5 strands of rags will make improvised rope
