Your eyeball cannot even render 4K. It's a fad.

Haha good one, there is a decent difference between 1080p to 1440p, same as 1440p to 4k.

Nah can't do it just stick at 1080p everytime I chage to 4k or even 1440p it just reverts back to 1080p

You have to delete your saves folder (folder with the configs, mentioned in the resolution fix post), right click on the scum exe and overwrite the high dpi... and then start the game. Then you can switch to 4k properly. Had the same problem....
Id on't have any save folder havn't played it yet. and I have found the option for high dpi and it was already selected and in application. The tick box for high dpi override is ticked and also on application by default. or is that the wrong option?

After that you can start the game and select the resolution... At least this worked for me for 4k.

Maybe you can try to edit the C:\Users\David\AppData\Local\SCUM\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\GameUserSettings.ini

after start. See the resolutiin fix post for this.

My Settings after the first steps are:

[/script/engine.gameusersettings] bUseDynamicResolution=False ResolutionSizeX=3840 ResolutionSizeY=2160 LastUserConfirmedResolutionSizeX=3840 LastUserConfirmedResolutionSizeY=2160 AudioQualityLevel=0 DesiredScreenWidth=1280 bUseDesiredScreenHeight=False DesiredScreenHeight=720 LastRecommendedScreenWidth=-1.000000 LastRecommendedScreenHeight=-1.000000 LastCPUBenchmarkResult=-1.000000 LastGPUBenchmarkResult=-1.000000 LastGPUBenchmarkMultiplier=1.000000 bUseHDRDisplayOutput=False HDRDisplayOutputNits=1000

But i think its not working if you copy paste this...something is messed up with the resolution/fullscreen in the game.
I don't have a saved game in the first place in my F: Drive where I store majority of my games in cluding scum and can't find appdata/local/scum. I have got same DPI as yourself.
can't even get 1080p to work in full screen just is a 1/4 of my screen in the top left hand corner. only thing that works is no fullscreen and setting to 1080p but why doesn't fullscreen allow 1080p.

Feel like ripping my hair out.
I also set it to 1080p in game and apply then exit the game thinking it will save it to 1080p and when I load it back up it just revert to the same ♥♥♥♥ it's been doing before top left hand corner.

I have the same problem.1080 will go fullscreen, But for some reason not when the game starts up. What i been doing is going into settings changing to window, apply, then change back to fullscreen, apply, then it goes to fullscreen. I tried all the fixes that have been posted and none of them work for me.

this should pretty much work
you only forget to set

Desired Screen Width
Desired Sreen Height

to 4k resolution

after entering that and make the config write protected it should work even the game tells you a different number

keep in mind if you have write protected the file you cannot change any graphic settings you would need to redo the write protection set your graphic settings and enter the resolution stuff again
