Last patch killed SCUM on Linux... Probably EAC killed SCUM on Linux...

All those players in game, and can't kill them because you won't let us sweet linux players interact with them. Is all this just a roundabout way of protecting windows players from actual skilled gamers? Sometimes I wonder. Who knows, enjoy your fantasy.

Could also set up a VM with GPU passthrough if you dont wanna reboot to game! I'll have time this weekend to test a few things to see if I can get it working natively in wine, I figured out where to get the UUID to download the binary EAC file and I'll see if manually inserting that helps at all.

If you need any additional testers to assist I'd be happy to help. Just let me know or even just add me on Steam and we can perhaps coordinate our efforts to get this resolved. So far you've done some good work.

Has there by chance been any headway with getting it to work in linux? I have been looking to get it but on linux.

It worked after release for a few days with Steam Play/Proton. Then EAC (Easy Anti Cheat) was patched by the developers. Since then it doesn't work anymore. At least not multiplayer anymore. The singleplayer still works.

I'm with Phyon. I'm waiting and hoping the devs go ahead and try to help support the Linux platform first. I'm not interested in single player so I really hope they help us with a workaround. Easy Anti-Cheat isn't going to be able to be fixed by us. It will need to be installed natively on Linux for it to work. I'm cautiously optimistic the devs will try to help us but I do understand they have a lot on their plates.

It's not really up to the devs here, we need to be bugging the EAC people.

It could be either in this case but EAC fixing their software to run in wine would be better, however, that isn't likely going to happen. Most Anti-Cheat software use kernel level API calls and things that simply can't be done under wine. The solution that has been currently used by others is to install the Anti-Cheat system on the native OS while running the physical game in wine or eON. I, however, would LOVE to be wrong and see EAC, Battleye, and other anti-cheat systems make their software work under wine. That would be truly amazing but I wouldn't hold your breath waiting on that.

try to refund, explain the problem precisely

if you can't refund or just want to play the game you're gonna have to create a seperate partition with windows 10

sorry buddy, i agree this is kind of a ♥♥♥♥ move.

There is a possibility of getting it working if you take a look at this

It's not an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ move to not support a platform you never said you were supporting at the moment...
