Easy Anti Cheat not working // Admin Controls

New patch is out.

EAC Error

• Install the client in the directory you have Steam
  \Steam\steamapps\common\SCUM\EasyAntiCheat\EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe

Things to try if it still doesn't work
- Restart steam, launch as administrator
- Reboot PC after EAC has been installed
- Verify gamefiles
- Make an exception in firewall/Antivirus
exclusion for following folders:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\SCUM\EasyAntiCheat\

C:\Program Files (x86)\EasyAntiCheat\

Admin controls??

• List: https://www.g-portal.us/wiki/SCUM:_Admincommands
  
• Add your SteamID64 to this config file on your server to get admin commands : AdminUsers.ini
  
• If you do not see AdminsUsers.ini, wait for G-portal to add it in the settings

Also this is anti-consumer. Adding anti-cheat post-launch.
You've purposely waited to announce it now instead of informing about it with game's release.

Really disappointed that Croteam and Devolver has partnered with developers who do such dishonest things.

I've planned to get a game, but EAC is a no go, sorry. Feel sad about it, since I've been waiting for the game.

If we could have ability to host servers without EAC..

YEP! garbage anti cheat
well..... anti anti virus, anti afterburner, anti firewall, anti everything BUT cheats.....
Absolute garbage fire, i hate cheaters but would rather continue to not have "anti-cheat" if EAC is the best they can come up with :(

The game does not start after the last update. Anti-cheat is not installed, there is no gdiplus.DLL file

Apparently your easy anti-cheat detects the service called "LightingService" that is required to run Asus Aura sync as a cheat. I tried to run the game on my new pc that has Aura Sync installed and was given an error while launching the game, it pretty much said that it will not allow me to run the game with "LightingService" running. I had to disable the service for the game to launch

welcome to EAC ;) anti-everything-but-cheats
say goodbye to RGB lighting effects, OSD temps/usage, anti-virus etc etc etc
meanwhile all the script kiddies will be unaffected

Today I saw Easy anticheat on the launcher window soon as I launched the game went in joined a server and played for an hour no issue.. I don't know why people are having issues.. unless they did something fishy

EAC is notoriously terrible ;) it doesn't like Afterburner, or any other program that displays OSD like temps/usage, it doesn't like anti-virus, it doesn't like firewalls, it gets salty about literally hundreds of different perfectly legitimate computer programs.....
AND it is also notoriously awful at actually detecting cheats....
Rust is FAMOUS for being filled with script kiddies that got banned from every other game in their library but can still play Rust without consequence because EAC can't detect what they are using, the only thing that catches them out is admins watching them and/or the server logs/console

maybe, i have yet to have any problem in that way with EAC, if its catching cheaters or not i wont say anything about, i play 5-6 games with EAC and yet to have any issues with AV, firewalls or any other program...

Sounds like something a cheater would say. All cheaters try to say that the system in place is intrusive. Please don't listen to this man. EAC is not that intrusive as BattlEye. VAC barely scans someone's PC for cheats. As a cheater for 2 years I can tell you VAC is the worst Anti-Cheat out there. VAC lets in private and paid cheats. VAC only scans for known signatures. If it's not known to the VAC system, VAC never catches it. I know this because I cheated on CSGO with this account and I haven't been banned to this day. Anyone who suggests VAC is a cheater in disguise. PUBG uses BattlEye. Anyone who is crying about an anti-cheat must be a cheater, why else would you not defend making a game cheater free? Live with it or leave.

Cant install it, error code: CreateService Failed with 1072

Played well the first time i tryed the game, today that i had some more time to play, this error wont let me lunch the game, nor een install that EAC. Any fix?

Edit: After some time and some attempts i fixed it.

those failing to install. If you have not tried. try turning off your security software(virus protection) and try again...If works. you need to make an exception for scum and easy cheat. In your virus protection.

Don't know how? Google you virus software.No doubt you can fidn some instructions.
