How to play Co-op

Hey, i have been searching for the past hour, but have found nothing. It is propably so easy that no one felt the need to explain it, but how do I play Co-op with a friend? There is no option in steam to invite a friend. Nor have I found an option anywhere in-game or in steam to declare my friend part of some kind of squad. We joined the same server, but spawned at different locations. So do I have to travel to him and then do some in-game shenannigans or what do we do?

Get into the same server, find your friend, press and hold "F" on him and select invite to squad.

This is not Coop ^^

You can't play Singleplayer with your friends. The only way you can play with your friend, is by joining the same server, and then finding each other.

The co-op tag on the storepage should be removed until they add local dedicated server support. At this rate: co-op is false advertisement.

This is no coop no one calls Battlefield a coop game it also has squads

and telling us we could rent a server to make it private is just unacceptable.
make or a p2p coop like ark and conan ( also unreal engine games..)
or give us the server files so we can host them ourselfs ( this also eliminates the thetering pervious mentiont titles have )

the coop oon the store page now is misleading
