Everything else you crafted or stored disappears when you log out.
In multiplayer the stuff should stay but can of course be picked up by other users.
Also after a server reset it may be gone too.
Been playing single-player and finally made a storage box and wasn't able to interact with it at all.
Why would they have it off for people in single-player?
Good question. Why would anyone play a SURVIVAL game in singleplayer? The threat of players among everything else is the real survival. I never get people who play singleplayer when there's a multiplayer mode.
True that
They actually plan to integrate a storyline in single player with quests and a goal of escaping the island at the end.
Also they will implement persistent storage with one of the next updates.
So just be patient.
400 hours in "7 Days to Die", 80 in "Conan Exiles", 100 hours in "The Long Dark" and so on and so on. All in single player.
I cant stand PvP and have zero interest in it. I prefer the feeling of " you alone in a large world against zombies, monsters, nature" .
I dont need some 12 year old kid sniping me and calling me a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ over voice chat.
That kind of kills my immersion, sorry.
Hoping this is a bug because yeah, we had about 4 storage crates hidden in the woods, as of about 10 hours ago when I logged off they were full of supplies, I just log back on now and they're all gone, including my shelter and campfire.
Totally true... especially when they can respawn in their shelter a few meters away to annoy you again if you killed them. This kind of gameplay is kind of stupid in a game that claim realism. Please devs: set a minimum distance (long) to be able to respawn on a shelter.
Also has far less bugs and no server issues to contend with.
