how i cook zombies?

You dont need to cook food atm but you can craft meat on a skewer.

Cooked Meat is Best Food

[Cat Burger]

Kill zombie. Search zombie. Chop up zombie until you have steaks. Chop up tree nearby. Craft a fire. Select lighter/matches. Right click on campfire and light fire. Craft a wooden skewer. Craft a wooden skewer with meat. Select wooden skewer with meat, right click on fire and select cook. I generally do all of this with items on the ground in a close area so I dont need to use personal inventory other than using my knife/lighter.

Eat. Food good. Watch all your health bars go to 100% and then begin to poop every 5 minutes cuz damn son you ate so much.

This was good info but I still can't get to the meat! It's on the skewer in the fire but all I can do is pick up the skewer with meat and drop it. I see no way to get the meat off of it or eat it or do anything. Starving to death while holding 5 steaks is no way to die.

Had the same thing happen to me. Skewered Steaks cooked over the fire just fine. Now I can only pick it up, not eat :/

Had the same thing happen to me. Squired Steaks cooked over the fire just fine. Now I can only pick it up, not eat :/

It also never says it's cooking or ready or anything. This is pretty irritating how convoluted it is to just do a simple task like cook/eat.The inventory system is kind of terrible. I also love how it just drops things on the ground without letting you know and then it's impossible to find it again on the ground.

So I'm pretty sure it let me craft it initially because I got the option to cook. I can't take the meat off or eat it and when I try to creat a new skewer of meat the component list now shows meat, stick, fat, salt and spices?? I need spices now to cook meat? I have no idea what is happening in this game but it makes no sense.

After cooking pick up skewer, right click and press eat ez pz lmn sqz

while cooking check the healthbar of the food. if it s nearly zero your food is ready, if it s zero your food is burned and you can t eat it anymore.
