is it Scum or Scam?

i got 3 questions.
1- price , price is extremly low.... it is so cheap and i do not understand it.
2- frame rates - game uses ue4 whis is hard to be optimized. i got i7 4790 16 gb ram and gtx 1060 6gb and i got 80 fps woods(medium settings) and 35-40 town.
3- is it netcode or ♥♥♥♥♥♥ servers? cuz it is all about ♥♥♥♥♥♥ servers then it is ok, if it is netcode.....

I will gladly explain and clarify.

1. Having reduced price in Early Access has several benefits for everyone. First, it's a way to say thank you to players who supported the team during development, sort of vote of confidence. Second, idea is to get many players, because that's the point of Multiplayer games. Third, players pay lower price and still get full product whenit's finished, but also a chance to play it through development period.

2. Game is not fully optimized because it will have many updates. That real, final optimization will come before full release, after everything is implemented and polished.

3. I'm not particulary good with technical questions so I'll leave that to someone else to answer.

FInally, I really don't think it's scam. Not with Gamepires behind it (I'm just a mod here, I'm not part of the team) and not with a price like this and most definitely not with the community that evolved around the game. :)

I hope this clarifies things a bit.

Everything is PvP in multiplayer which means anyone can kill you and loot your corpse. Eat it even.
And if you want pure PvE experience, I would suggest single player.

As someone who has been putting effort into testing the game, I can say without a doubt that SCUM is not a scam. While it is true that many games in Early Access fail, it is due to a poor development team. Gamepires treats everyone on the team like family, and they have been working hard for some time now to bring you what you see today. Is it perfect? No. It's Early Access.

Framerate is lower than you'd want, and I can understand that it's frustrating. However, the game has some distance to run before the marathon is finished. What you see will not be the final product. Gamepires plans to work on SCUM for the long-haul.

As for the servers being slow, that's what you get for 50,000 users joining at once.

played game 1.9 h so i can say that game is pretty awesome, but optimization is terrible. I have 80 fps in woods at start of the game and 40 after 15-20 min

That will be sorted, it's the first day, servers are pretty overwhelmed and full and we're working on fixes and updates.
