Hyperthermia - What do I do?
So I got Hyperthermia (not Hypo) and a heatstroke and nothing seems to fix it. I am vomiting as well because of it and gradually losing health. I tried staying in the water and in the shade and my body temperature won't go down.

Any advice?

Hm, I'm not sure what to say. Did you eat anything? Too much food, or a lot of mushrooms?

Also, try to take down all your clothes. Every piece of gear and clothing has a red number in the corner which says how much heats generates.

I got the same thing going on, every time I try to eat or drink too now I puke. Took off all my clothes, in the shade, submerged myself in a river as well, no change.

Just go into the water, than your temperature goes down

Take off clothes, get wet, then sit in the shade and stop moving for a while. Like... 20 minutes. NO MOVING!

This thread is over a week old.

You have to go actually inside a bunker and take of all your clothes and weapons lay down for 20 mins and your temperature will drop and you will lose the hyperthermia

Also laying in the river doesn't actually get you wet. You should try to get to a place that you can swim with no clothes on, just tread water for a few minutes. Of course I am lucky (or unlucky) on my server it rains a few times each day cycle so I can stand in the rain naked and sing. The other suggestions in the post also work too, but I have heard people have a hard time picking up items if they are indoors.

How do you get hyper and hypothermia? I have been running around with 5 layers of clothing on full gear, max weight and have also been swimming at night and have never experienced any of these. It would be cool if hyper/hypo played a bigger part in the game

I used the ACOG to test temps. during night and day using the range function. (It displays temp in the readout). On the day I tested it's about 70 degrees F at noon on a sunny day and about 50 degrees F at night.

I suspect much of the difference between players who are suffering Hypothermia and those who are not is the ones who are running around soaking wet in the dark and those who tend not to.

welp....helmet, balaclava, shirt, sweater, jacket, vest, pants, boots, raincoat - not to mention backpack and waist bag...now add carry weight, no proper hydration, sunny day and most importantly add the fact most of players try to sprint all the time...why so surprised when your body starts to overheat really quickly? all I do to prevent this is that i don t wear sweater, shirt and raincoat - useless for carrying anything +-5 slots won t kill me anyway...i drink often and trying to move in jogging mode, not sprinting all the time...even then from time to time im overheating, so jumping into water, and nap under the tree fix this all the time :)

I'm geared similarly and have never had a problem. I almost never sprint I don't know if that's part of it or not. But I've had zero problems with hyper.
