Restart fire on a fire ring

hi all.i have a fire ring with ran out of wood,how do i restart the fire ring? or do i have to make a new fire ring?

I see no real plus for gameplay, only for immersion.
(Did never had the wish to restart a fire)
So i guess its a very low priority

you have to select (in red) the fire and the lighter to have the option to light the fire

So, I haven't played this game in over a year and because of this fire issue, I came across this thread.
So yes, you can relight the Fire Ring by bringing Small Wooden Logs to it in your hands and holding the interact key (Default F) and then click "Fuel Fire with Small Wooden Log."
Alternatively, you can do the same by opening your Inventory Tab and highlighting all Small Wooden Logs in the area including your inventory and repeating the same Action.
If you drop the log by the fire or just have it in your bag and do not highlight it prior to trying to refuel it, the fire will not ignite.

Lol necroing this.....became relevant again for me. None of the above appear to work. Fire circle shows 9/10, eats matches, but I can not add any fuel. Though rain did put out the fire.....which might be the reason I can't add any fuel at the moment....still wet. Which would make sense, but thought I'd ask if that would be the case.

Lol... After reading through the replies about the shelter spawn issue... I see many complaining about having to constantly rebuild the fire ring as another aggravation.... So I'll take it the fire ring is currently broken.

Fire ring is indeed bugged currently and it should be fixed with the upcoming update.
