Can´t change the resolution
Hi! We have a problem, I can´t change the resolution of the game. The game starts always with the resolution of 5210 x 2880. I change it to 2560 x 1440 and click on apply, but the game don´t save it. If I click after applying on the video option button, the resolution of 5210 x 2880 is set, I can´t change it.
I can only start the game if I force the window mode via steam. Without this, the game starts again in full screen mode with 5210 x 2880, so i can only see a small part of the main screen.
Can you help us please, we really want to play Scum.

My Specs:

I7 8700 K
GTX 1070 (with the newest driver)
16 Gb Ram
Monitor 2560 x 1440

Best regards

hold Start button+r
type in > %appdata%
where the clipboard is click "appdata"
Then >Local -> SCUM -> Saved -> Config -> WindowsNoEditor),
now open the file „GameUserSettings.ini“ and change the following settings to:

ResolutionSizeX=1920
ResolutionSizeY=1080

LastUserConfirmedResolutionSizeX=1920
LastUserConfirmedResolutionSizeY=1080

DesiredScreenWidth=1920
bUseDesiredScreenHeight=True
DesiredScreenHeight=1080

FullscreenMode=1
PreferredFullscreenMode=1

Save and start game

when u start the game it'll put it in window mode and some random res
leave it and go back to menu then go back to your video setting and it should be the res u wanted it to be

It worked perfectly.
Thanks a lot!! :D

We have the solution and found out how to fix the problem.
Open first your Savegame Folder (AppData -> Local -> SCUM -> Saved -> Config -> WindowsNoEditor),
now open the file „GameUserSettings.ini“ and change the following settings to:

ResolutionSizeX=1920
ResolutionSizeY=1080

LastUserConfirmedResolutionSizeX=1920
LastUserConfirmedResolutionSizeY=1080

DesiredScreenWidth=1920
bUseDesiredScreenHeight=True
DesiredScreenHeight=1080

FullscreenMode=1
PreferredFullscreenMode=1

Save file and start game.
With us, the game started in windowed mode, but we could now select and save our preferred resolution. This time the game has really saved it and is running in fullscreen mode. 😊

I had same problem and it turned out I had the TV connected as second screen and it was messing with it. Disco'd the TV and problem vanished. So check that if you are having this problem.

Also other soulution is to go for windowed mode, apply then switch to fullscreen and apply. Play with these to and it will revert to native res.

the file folder in question is hidden, you have to put the hidden files that are visible in windows.

C:\Users\**YOUR USER NAME IN WINDOWS**\AppData\Local\SCUM\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor

Click on Search in the Taskbar and Type „%appdata%“ into it and enter for search, now the local folder will appear.

I've tried everything and the only thing that works is changing to windowed then back to fullscreen. And even that only gets me to 3440x1440. I would prefer 3840x2160. Even changing settings manually in the config doesn't fix anything
