The constant repetition of "its a survival game, you are not giving anything", is tired and old. Truth or not, and does not apply to every question posed by people.
@Bunny - I have nearly 6000 ARK hours of survival between official and unofficial and the group dynamic matters here is why:
- People more often than not wish to play with others. Because of this friends and groups will buy the game together with this intent.
- If they buy the game together, but have a difficult time meeting in world to BEGIN their adventuring - then many will quit. Many people love survival games, but when they are a couple or group, not solo, and not spending their time trying to find each other dying repeatedly, all which wastes hours which could amount in days of RL game play (2-4hrs per day), attempting to meet up with the people sitting in the same room with them so they can play.
People want survival. They also want social interaction. And first and foremost, they want that social interaction with their friends/anyone who they intended to play the game with, like housemates/lovers, etc.
Instant gratification rules the human species of the 21st century. You place your game afoul of simply things like "starting together", and you will relegate this game to a smaller crowd, not larger one.
My family of 3 is playing no matter if we start in diametrically opposite areas of the map.
As long as there are choices of "areas' to spawn in an begin and they can be chosen, then people can narrow their area of start and make meeting up much easier.
It may suck for individuals, but if this is meant to be an initially predominate "lone-wolf" start period for players, then that should be advertised because the lone-wolf types with orgasm. However, group types, not so much.
Put your money on groups, it pays your salary.
He's got a point. Sitting in the same room with a friend trying to meet up for hours is just the same as if each of us played a different game and who does that when you invite someone over? Our time irl is not unlimited and loosing half of it trying to finally go somewhere together just sucks.
There is but you need to meet first to create a team
You are in a TV survival game not a BR game
Just play the game ..lol
Theres no women online lol
This is 2018. Just because she identifies as "she" doesn't mean shes actually a woman.
Female. Woman.
LOL, wow, you really must not have a life. Feeling insecure at the thought of a persons gender not being what they say or their name displays as...
Amusing how we don't care what your name is, male or not. And insecure males usually do.
This is quite literally why many women use male names and identities here on steam.
It's okay however, the displays of immaturity and insecurity are hilarious.
LOL Very true mate
Calm down Dear ..
It was you who brought up your gender lol
