Any thoughts on a comparison --> M16 vs MK18?

Looks like a mix of H&K 416 and Colt M4.

Same rounds, shorter barrel - I'd assume it's slightly less precise but a little quicker in ads'ing. Haven't found one, yet. M16A4 shoud've had burst fire and the "MK18" should, too.

This really needs to be implemented as soon as possible.

It does not seem any less accurate than the M-16. The M-16 rate of fire is higher than the MK-18 in auto, and I like the sound of the MK-18 better.

The animations need to be ironed out, as well as the key command., i.e. add one more click to the select fire button. There is a lot of coding involved.

The M16 in game is NOT an M16A4. The M16 in game looks very similar to the ArmaLite AR-15 model designed by Stoner/Sullivan in 1959. All they need is the 20rd mags that go with it. ;)

When the U.S. military adopted the Stoner/Sullivan design, that is when it became the military designation "M16". In 1969, it was given the military designation of M16A1. I was 13 years old at the time :) It was single/Auto only, and replaced the M14.

I'm not sure what you're getting at here. Why isn't it an M16A4? Because it has a different hand guard and the forward assist modification? It has the classic M16 stock and other characteristics. Are you trying to say it should be called the AR15? I don't get it.

The AR15 and the M4/M16 are the same weapon frame.

You mean 1956? ;)

Maybe the whole thing has something to do with weapon copyright thing.

I'd like to see more H&K rifles anyway since H&K seems to be very relaxed about using their designs in games without paying for a license. Interesting topic, by the way.
