Map Scale?

I have a rough feel for the size of the map just based on how long it takes to drive from one side to the other, but I'm curious - what are the physical dimensions of the map? roughly 10kmx10km?

Not even sure it even really matters, but I feel like it's always good to have in mind when travelling how far you're going so you can prepare accordingly. (i.e. running 1km burns less energy than 2km)

IIRC, each square is roughly 3 x 3 km which makes the whole map 144km².

3 kilometers should be around 1,86 in retarded units.

Sounds about right. KM -> M = KM * .625 (5/8). So yeah, you're right on the 1.8 mile conversion.

Not to be rude, just for the sake of accuracy, is that official info? It passes the gut check, but I'm not able to find it anywhere.

Also, if you google it you can easily see that lots of game news portals use that number. I'm almost sure it's been stated by the devs themselves a couple times but I didn't do a deep search right now.

12x12 Km together with the theorem of Pythagoras you know that the maximum distance would be 16.9 Km.
you can see your speed ingame, the rest is math. Means by 8 KM/h
16.9/8 = 2.11 Hours is the max distance (as a straight line)
If you add some extralenght for hills and avoiding free field you come out at arround 150 Minutes or so as maximium between 2 points.

I would bet you'd be closer to 3 by the time you add in interruptions (puppets), crossing water (looks like you'd do this 3x minimum in most directions), and other random things that would slow you down like eating/drinking.
