P.S.: Love this game!
Sorry Leva but it is not an argument about turn off a generic whatever settings.
Is being discussing, and in other post seems to be quite an accord on this matter, about Shadow Precision on LOWEST aka NO SHADOW at all.
Its only and specifically this setting that make a not levelled battleground between players.
What the mean in buy expensive gear to enjoy the magnificence of your game graphics if then I have to choose between play without shadows, aka horribly and unrealisticly, to have the same battleground of another or give up to play?
Leave all other settings (or invent new ones dont know) that allow sub-pair rig to have a chance to play, but specifically this LOWEST level in shadows precision should be definitively cut out.
Just to be clear: https://imgur.com/a/oSADKb1 (it works?)
Walk on the lowest one and try to pass unobserved!!!
I have a mid spec PC and play on lowest but with Shadows maxed out cuz it impacts the Visuals by a great amount.
WOW! Yeah that setting needs to go. I've got a 6-7 year-old half decent (for that time) gaming rig. It's no powerhouse now, and I'm getting an average of about 45 FPS (35 outside, 55 inside) with shadows on Low with 1024 resolution.
Render Resolution offers the most to gain in terms of FPS increase, as does reducing your screen resolution. Turning shadows off altogether shouldn't be possible.
If you CAN turn shadows off like that to gain the extra visibility, why bother even putting shadows in the game? It's a graphics setting that handicaps you. If you don't HAVE to have that handicap, why would you?
I guess everyone, regardless of their PC, should use no shadows for the extra visibility it offers. I guess Devs could have saved a pile of work by never bothering to include shadows in any coding... but they have done that already.... so I guess it was wasted time?
Until the option is not available, why make things more difficult on yourself, especially when you KNOW others are doing it?
+1
Thats awesome Leva.
Thanks for this resolute and resolutive decision.
