Compound Bow Bugged?

I found a compound bow, I have metal arrows and wood/feather arrows also. Yet I can't seem to use either in the bow, it doesn't pull back at all... Does it only use Carbon arrows?

yeah it's not bugged. I could use it just fine.
Also if you try to store it it takes 100% of the storage space. Which is pretty damn weird. It takes an entire box for it to fit.

Storage Space is getting reworked.

@OP: Every bow has it's own pull weight. The higher the weight, the more potency an Arrow get's. Just like in RL. You need to be Strong enough to use the Bow. There are Bows with different pull weights on it. I think Compound Bow is "Zeroed" to 80 (?). Search/Craft one that fit's your Strength and you'll be fine =)

What's the best way to work up my strength to use it?

Your bow skill also influences which bows you can fully draw (as well as how long before you start shaking, losing your aim). So using the bow will slowly increase the poundage you can use effectively. The compound is a 60# bow. (I'm cheating. I have the Dev update that lists them all open.) It can also use the stabilizer, which will help with the steady aim part.

You would need to create a new Char.
Training doesn't work atm and get's reset when you die.

Sorry to necro but I have max strength and I can not even put the compound bow in my hands but still can shoot and wield the 100lb recurve bow. Help please and thank you.

Right. Hell I think they are bugged because I can use the 100 pound bow but can't even put the compound bow in my hands.

It's bugged. I could use before, now I can't. And like "CR Link (501st)" above, I use a 100# bow instead so it's not an ability issue. It is broken and needs fixed before more content is added.

It is bugged, and the devs know, and promised a fix.

I play with a strength of 2 character and can use a compound bow at a lower draw weight. I can't recall where I started, and I might have had to start with the low end regular bows to get my skill up but I think I got up to 50 or 55# before the wipe.
