Base building (solo game)

Guys, i can´t create my own base, any advices? Someone with the same problem or its me? xD

I place the base parts on the ground but´s always red...

Can't build there. That simple.

I walked around with a tent blue print until I could build it. So, I did. Just to say "I did"! Nice big tent next to the river.

There is a map in the update news that shows where you can build. Not the greatest map, Need a good level place to build. My tent has holes in the floor that I can search for rocks in. And it leaks like a sieve. Great party place when it ain't raining.

keep in mind that near villages and other POI the build system is disabled

Things have to be pretty level to build.

The problem is
1: You need a place where building is allowed
2: You need a place not the half server move long every day
3: You need a place the Terrain fits for a Base
4: ... all these small necessitys and wishes

And btw: You cant build in caves

I allready made one "For fun" base. But there is no way to store your stuff if you plan to play more than 300 Hours. I wish to play thousands of hours and theres nothing so far. Placing hidden crates is impossible. The best yyou can archive is 3 doors with 3xGold locks. And if i read that right this is not really anything near safe.

I have found that where you can't build a cabin, you can build a platform.
