Muscle mass
Hi guys,

I have recently started playing the game and it seems I have run into a bit of a snag.
I managed to lose muscle mass in the first few hours I was playing the game, but for the life of me I cannot figure out how to get it back.
Can anyone share their wisdom on this?
I have tried punching things for hours, running for hours , both with a positive calorie balance as well as over 100% protein, but nothing seems to want to work.
I've figured out how to bring the stored fat up and down, but the muscle mass still eludes me.

Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

If it's something small like -0.2 % then just ignore it, it will correct itself over a course of time.

If it's a larger amount, could you please attach a screenshot of your metabolism screen ? That will be the quickest way to determine if it's a bug or something trivial.
Can somebody explain how to lose fat and gain muscle? Last time I played - BFP was 30%. I logged in next day - now it's 20%! I don't know what i did, just eaten only vegetables and fruits, so had negative calorie balance. 10% in a day is very significant amount. And why when I log in i always have 0 carbs, 0 sugar and my character instantly wants to pee every single time?

With eating just vegetables your BFP should fall down. But its possible that the metabolism is bit buggy now, its due for a rework.

I have figured out how to gain the muscle mass and since there seems to be a lot of confusion in the community (or secrecy, not sure), I have decided to post it here.

To lose stored fat, just make sure your calorie balance is negative, but make sure to eat enough low calorie food to avoid the "you are starving" message. This works, confirmed.
To gain muscle mass make you need to keep your calorie balance between 0 and 200 (not higher then 200 because then you will just gain stored fat and no lower then 0). On top of that you will need to keep your protein above 100% and be active. The active part seems to be easy enough since you will need to burn calories to stay below 200 kcal anyway.
If you keep this up, you will gain 0.1kg of muscle mass for every 2kg of weight that you gain. I have confirmed this works.

I hope they change that, during the metabolism system is nice and keep you busy, it should not end in a "Watch your bars all 10 seconds" insanity
1000 Kcal + or - should do nothing and the range that need to be hold for changes should be arround +- 1000-5000
Or it ends in beeing cumbersome

It should be possible to eat, go on a average loottour and eat again when you are back without any issues. And a average loottour cost you 5000-8000 Kcal (3000-4000m distance + activitys in that poi)
With a spectrum of only 200 Kcal it would mean you need to eat 40 times during one loot tour

Not really, since the calories dont release instantly, some foods release it faster then others. You can still eat something high calorie before you start the lootrun and be perfectly fine for the duration.

Sure, but it feels off if you need to study the metabolism system for 3 month to be able to eat right.

Its like the cooking system where you need to hit the exact 3 cm of the perfect ring arround a campfire.

(But get me right, i can play both, i only needed 5+ Hours to learn how to cook the right way, and after arround 50 Hours investet in the metabolism system i mostly know how i can do it "right". Thats more spend playtime in these 2 topics as most casuals play the game at all. But finally possible)

I get your point, I just like that it is a little more indepth then most games. I hope they dont end up "dumbing it down" like so many games seem to do.

i dont ask to dump it down, just to make it a way it feels not like "playing the bars 24/7"
This moment i try to hold my Kcal balance between 0 and 200 and its no fun (was at -600 despite that i eat cooked meat piece by piece and move not really much)
