Event zone map
I never played any events and hate it when I Bambi around in a town and die due to some jackasses starting a DM event. Its a total immersion breaker. I would love to know where those events happen. Does a map exists that shows me which areas to avoid?

You can see the names of the areas in the tab menue.

There is also a server announcement on the right side of the screen, if I'm not wrong. Something like "Preko event starts in 2 minutes" or something like that.

Yeah I never notice those, like the names of whoever killed whom etc.I´m too old, have bad eye sight and to focused on those evil bushes in front of me.
