Personalized signs.

Now that we have signs, it would be great if we could make a sign in which we could write a small personalized message of about 30-50 characters. It would be a very interesting addition to the game and would be quite fun when used in private server events.

Thanks for suggestion, but I doubt this gonna work. As some guys mentioned already this will be place for trolling.

If you can get so close you can read the sign .. you will be able to destroy the sign if you dont like the text? ... so i think its just as much trolling as global chat and would definitely be a Plus to this game.

One of the most funny things in rust is painting a sign or in dayz leave notes to people, someones joking, others trolling... It's part of fun.

The more freedom you leave the players the more awesome and funny things they do. In basebuilding devs give us freedom to build anything, we did mazes, arenas, etc...

no, we want freedom to do whatever we want. That's why we play games, if i wanted to be bothered with sjw crap i'd spend RL time with snowlfakes calling themselves adults.
Have you considered to create a movement for banning paper and pencils? People can draw bad stuff with them, i'd protest against such freedom if i were you. Or ban art alltogether, no more paint in stores, no sprays nothing. We don't want to allow people to express themselves, what if they draw something baaaad?

this. How can someone come up with "but people will draw inappropriate stuff" as a reason to not implement it is beyond me
