Like, if regular palisades are "weaker" than the ones with the hole, does that take into account if the entire SECTION of palisade with a hole gets taken out vs 4-5 of the regular single ones? That's a difficult question to explain...lol
Also, if I double/triple wall around my flag, will the inner walls also get repaired from the outside?
Lots of questions!
Base attacks like a hordes and later on the tv show trying to go for you ect would give an almost endless playthrough while building up a huge base would give purpose to scavenging gear and materials.
Mining would be a great addition via caves and nodes etc and defences like turrets etc and non modular prefab building system would be great.
So far the devs are doing way past what I expected so early qualitywise with the vehicle and weapon handling and the storage in vehicles is exelent.
would be amazing to see what they could pull off with base attacks without being limited with enemy pathing forced in voxel games like 7d2d (which I love)
Also its a good idea to implement a good singleplayer as its a training ground for folk less experienced with fps pvp as I rekon If they had an SP save to go back to while getting their feet wet with MP "Gear fear "would be less of an issue" If Im honest thats why my rust time was short as a solo player.
Sorry for huge paragraph
Jst exited for a game with huge potential to capitalise where day z and rust did not.
No need to be sorry, It's actually very enjoyable to see someone state their ideas about the game with excitement :)
We will do all we can to improve the singleplayer experience for players in the future ( you will be able to configure your singleplayer game in the same way server admins can configure their servers ), and as you mentioned - it will offer everything the multiplayer does minus other players. So it will indeed serve as a traning ground for players ( you will be able to experience the storyline fully in singleplayer too, so if you don't feel like PvP-ing there's no reason to worry ).
Maybe you are mistaking " god mode " for some sort of an immortality command line. There is no immortality currently available to players, god mode only lets you build everything without any need for ingredients.
No, wasn't looking for that. Was looking for the build aspect only. I put in godmode, select true and when I go to craft nothing changes.
Any chance you can record a short video ? I know it's a bother but it's the quickest way we can make this work.
I can try, but sadly, I can't atm. Have to get going, but I will work on it as soon as I can. I greatly appreciate you taking the time for this and all said and done, I love the game, the graphics, hell even some of the deaths. :D Again, thanks.
My apologies for the absence on here. I don't have the software to record (that I know of) and am still looking to try. But as for the issue of not being able to activate "godmode" for building. Is there anything special I need to do before starting the game?
Here is what I do... I start game, I hit "T" I put in #setgodmode, enter then select godmode true, enter. Hit "T" again, open building with TAB and that's it. When I open the crafting section, nothing changes. If I'm doing something wrong, I'm all ears. Till I hear back, will try to find a recording program and see if I can figure that out. lol
Again, thanks for the time and patience on this one.
That sounds right to me. You still have to fill the blueprint after you place it though ... it will be blue / green , and you have to come close to it to add materials ( which are limitless now since you have god mode ). This does not work for crafting items ( like an axe or a improvised shotgun ), only for building things like the fireplace, wooden palisades, etc. So basically, only the items that you have to position for building.
Okay, than I don't know why it isn't working for me. Maybe uninstalling and reinstalling might help. I don't know. But when I get through doing all that. Everything is the way it was before. I can't craft anything I couldn't before. Can't even select anything higher than my engineering level to lay out blueprints.
So will try this last thing and hope I don't lose everything. Meh, if I do, won't take long to get back there. Still lovin' the game and looking forward to the more to come. Again, thanks for the input here.
