Single play restart
I started a single player game, played around with god mode building and decided to start fresh. I deleted my previous character, built a new one, got in game, headed back to my favorite base-building spot, and the old base is still there. Did this 3 times, once after uninstalling the game. Is there a way to completely erase my single player games?

Unless you commit suicide in the game, I think your character remains. One way to be sure is that you would need a new name to create a new game. If you're not being asked to, you are still loading the old character.

Heyas bud, he needs to delete the Local SCUM saved game folder to remove all the stuff in his offline world. I had to figure that out when I did numerous restarts and wanted to get rid of things.

Not really. He merely needs to do as I've said. No game forces you to remove its save files to start over though, yes, that would also work. The suicide option has worked for me.

Cheers.

I tried doing the suicide, but all the bases and stuff built by the prior character still remained in the world. Test it for yourself to see if your base stays or not.

@Preacher...where would I type in the command line you suggest? Where do I find the scum saved game folder? Not terribly computer savvy.

In Windows 10, on the bar at the bottom there is a folder icon. Click on it to bring up My Computer which lists all your folders where stuff is stored at. On the left hand pane there is a list of all the important folders. Click on Local Disk (C:) and that will open your C: drive up.

In the folders list you should see one named Users. Open that up then open the folder that is your username. At the top of the window on the left hand side is File, Home, Share, and View. Select the tab named View and check Hidden Items under the section at the top for Show/Hide. This will now show AppData as a folder. Go into there then you'll see a folder named Local. Open that one up and find the SCUM folder. Open that up and just click on the Saved folder you see then hit the Delete key. You have just nuked your saved files for SCUM.

Thank you all for your suggestions. @Preacher...I made 1 new sp character using a different name and the old bases were still there. Then, without deleting the first character, I made a second. Bases are no longer there. May test to see if it is consistent at a later date. Thanks again to all for your help.

I know this is an old post, but hopefully someone can still answer me. I'm not looking to delete my save game. I'm just looking how to restart the server. Because it says certain things requires a server restart. Is there an ability to restart my server?
PS: Just in case the devs see this ?. Love your game, I just have one gripe during the crafting page. Why isn't everything clickable like things that use certain things? Why can't I click on that thing and the crafting recipe come up? Instead I have to search through the whole list on the right for thing I'm looking for while nothing on the left is clickable?

Restart the game to restart the server in single player.
