Where is the MRE?
Been playing for a bit. Found no MRE. Anyone else?

I primarily find them in the barracks buildings and mess halls in high loot areas, as well as in the large industrial kitchen areas

Check the hunting camps bunkhouse. You can also find them in military installations.

Yes, I have looted several. Perhaps it's just a weird alignment of RNG.

This. I never eat MREs unless I have nothing else to eat. Which is... never. You can always kill an animal (and birds are everywhere). You can forage farms, and when you have few options, you can scrounge up mushrooms and other edibles in the forests.

MREs aren't really even necessary in the game in my opinion. They are a luxury. I keep a few in my truck for those times I might have forgotten to pack enough food, and don't feel like scavenging around. I think I have ~25 of them in storage now, and have only ever eaten one.

I never eat humans and try to eat no pure fat and no fat and meat raw.
Do this and you will understand that it is much work to build up a foodstock and eat healthy.
I guess i invested more than 5 hours the last 3 days only on this topic

For me the current droprate of mre is fine (2 in 9 days). But i have a Crate full of Meat, 12 Pieces allready cooked. But i try to eat them warm

Very true Priest. Getting a rounded diet (fiber, sugars, carbs, etc) and staying away from uncooked meat is all part of the survival experience, and a little bit of work. I never eat raw meat, and always scavenge when I'm out and about. Shrooms, corn, grapes, etc all fill the stomach and promote what will be a necessary part of the experience, if what we've heard is true.

Do C2. Lots of odd gear at times.

Yet, it's only one meal so why bother?

You could get far more nutrition in the wild than chomping on MREs.

(Far easier too!)

^^ Yeah those are good too for MREs.

And barracks buildings etc, probably all mentioned above.
