Rename anything named Ashes of... Example:
Ashes of the Singularity
Ashes of the Singularity - Escalation
to:
Ashes of the Singularity.OLD
Ashes of the Singularity - Escalation.OLD
Try to run the game again.

it worked the other day . renamed the folder in my games but that did not do anything .
After you renamed it, was a new one created after you ran the game again?

i click resett settings.. did not help... black screen still ...
wierd as there was no black screen in start.. but was still unplayable because of the super tiny gui
i try delete the folders under mygames... that did...
i removed the game totally.. everything about it everywhere.. and reinstalled...
now it is still black... i do not understand this??? it was not black first time i run it...
starting game in safemode.. still black...
SOLVED::: !!!! maunal change setting file to directx12 now it work.. everything work...
high up in the setting file you find the res.. then api.. change api to dx12 from default dx11
Resolution=3840,2160
Api=dx12
Hmmm, that is interesting. If you went back and changed it to what it was (or just removed that line), does it again go black screen?

yes .. when i go back to dx11 screen go black again.
i change it back to dx12 and it work again.. so the problem is located 100% certant.
That is indeed very interesting, Ripper. Thank you very much for sharing.
Before I update the documentation, can you try this to see if it also works?
https://support.stardock.com/space/SHC/1346666532/GC3+Graphical+Issues
So it would be:
-DX11
-Change the resolution of the game to match your PC resolution (whatever that is).
-Can try Windowed mode as well.
Again, thanks for the feedback, Ripper.

I tryed diffrent resolution and windows mode and full screen in dx11 ... always black screen
i try same with dx12 .. all kind of resolutions and window mode and fullscreen.. works fine..
note that i run game on a 4k screen. but all other resolution worked to in dx12 but not in dx11..
my pc specs on this 3000 euro pc that is 2 weeks old for me now is:
ASUS TUF Gaming Radeon RX 7900 XT OC 20GB
Kingston M.2 NV2 PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD 2TB
Samsung 980Pro 2TB PCI 4.0 NvMe M.2 7000MB/s
ASUS PRIME X670-P WIFI motherboard
WIN11 home
AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPU
Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR5 6000MHz 32GB
ASUS TUF GAMING 750B, 750W PSU
Phanteks Eclipse G360A Mid Tower (black)
(after 25 years with nvidia and intel i dared go back to amd :) and i never had radeon gpu before.. but i am glad i did.. dang this thing is fast !! ..even starfield run at total max in software and on gamesettings for the graphic own tool.. still 100fps stable in 4k
I ran a benchmark on this game at totally maxed out graphic
and i got about 50-60 fps at those heavy tests the game have...
if i run game on max but take down some of the sliders that do little to graphic.. its fare over 100+ fps stable.
no overclocking.. normal run... in 4k

i was expecting higher fps even at max.. but i guess game is not 100% new and it does not work like that... other games that are heavy runners i get better fps out of:) .,
still. fps is high enough that this benchmark ran totally smooth..
This are benchmark result on default Crazy setting.. 100-180fps all the time. in 4k
