Tips for new players (or tricks for old ones)
So just some stuff that i didnt know when i first started playing and took me a while to learn(I've had to repeat this a number of times so easier to make a thread):

- DOUBLE CAPPING (MEGA IMPORTANT) -
1. When u start the match immediately build a 2nd engineer.
2. Use ur 1st engineer to help the production (right click with 1st engineer on nexus).
3. Send 1st engineer to capture a node just before 2nd is ready.
4. Once 2nd engineer is out, send it to capture a 2nd node.
5. While capping, always try to build either extractors or ur factories (u can cap and build simultaneously) but remember to stay close enough to the node to cap it.
IF the creeps spawn while ur capping, drop a turret from ur orbital abilities. Yes its expensive on quantra, but u can recover quantra, u cant recover TIME.

- Air Rushing
If playing against a human try to get a couple of AA buildings soon, players will regularly rush air units into ur base(even a fighter is enough), a lot of new players never have AA, or build it too late. All the enemy needs to do is kill ur engineers and they set u back vastly. So new players die and there is no response except to try to build AA while the rush is in ur base (which is usually too late)(since ur engineers are dead)

- Energy
A lot of Substrate (SS for short) units require eneregy to fire a number of their weapons. Add capacitors in ur armies to replenish the energy of those units (example: Reapers use energy to fire(only T1 unit that does) so if u build a squad of reapers, build a capacitor as well)

-Defense against Strategic bomber or Harbinger surprise atttack at your Nexus
New tactic encountered is for humans (either PHC or SS) to spam a load of Harbingers or Strategic bombers. They will then try to sneak them around the map (so u don't see them coming ) and send them at your Nexus. They will either directly attack the Nexus or kill the jammers and then use orbital attacks on your nexus.

Best defense?
Use YOUR OWN orbitals on the enemy bombers, either Detonate or Orbital Strike. Either can kill (or significantly weaken) the enemy Bombers, while the strikes do not damage your own structures or units.

You can also cast orbital jammer immediately after the enemy has cast a Detonate or Orbital Strike, this will stop the enemy strike from happening so long as u cast before all red rings disappear (the rings denote a count down for the strike). Completing construction on a orbital jammer before the count down ends, will also stop the strike.

This means u do not need to invest as much defense into your Nexus, as would normally be required to fend off such attacks, such as multiple jammers and loads of T3 AA.

If you haven't already perhaps putting something along these lines into the Guides section would be useful for new players. People can refer new players to it instead of writing it all out again themselves.

Though, unless I'm missing a mechanic, I don't get the mention of medics under the Energy heading? Don't they just heal HP?
(If you do put it under Guides perhaps a slight expansion to the capacity section as so many people miss the importance of it.)

i see PriestXES has made a nice guide. so ill just recommend he add some of these points there.. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=834910567

thanks i always assumed the medic recharged energy since its bio stated as such. i tested the medics now and they dont recharge the energy on the dreads (only PHC unit that needs energy). im more of a SS player, but i guess i should know these things anyway.. :D

im fixing the thread now to reflect as such on the medic
