Levantera: Tale of The Winds

Levantera: Tale of The Winds

Is a *Linux* / SteamOS release planned ?
Hello, I'm a Linux only user. As Levantera looks really nice I'm wondering if a Linux release is planned ? Whatever the answer, the game seems really appealing ;) :steamhappy:

Update: Linux build is available for testing in the beta branch! Game > Properties > Betas > select beta branch to opt in to the new build with the Linux depot.

Hope it works!

Hi @LassoGames,
I just bought the game on Linux, switched to the beta branch (a message says it's successfull) but there is still no "install" button and upon Steam restart it is back in "non beta - opt out blabla". Am I the only one ? Was anyone able to install in Linux ?

You'll have to forgive me for not knowing my way around Linux/SteamOS. I checked the depot for Linux and the files and launch options in Steam looked good. I will see if I can get Steam built on my Linux box and see what is going wrong.

Okay you should have the install button now. Though the depot manifest has all the files and executable, when I installed it from Steam OS in my VM it didn't actually pull anything. Looking into this now, I'd like to see if one of you guys can duplicate the bug.

You can verify my depot configs here: https://steamdb.info/app/506700/depots/

OK managed to install it. Thanks :D
I had no sound at first because libopenal was not found so I had to install "libopenal-dev" ( sudo apt-get install libopenal-dev ) and now I have sound. Good !
Big problem now is that configuration seems not to be saved upon restarts. Neither the screen config (fullscreen) nor the controller config.
This latest one is important because default key config is unplayable on a French keyboard.
And my pad (X360 wireless) does not work at all despite it being seen in logs:

SavePrePend /home/francois/.config/Levantera___Tale_of_The_Winds___GMS2/
GAMEPAD: Initialising Ubuntu support
Attempting to set gamepadcount to 32
display=0x29ca5d0

Ah also, since the sound works, the game will not qui correctly, freezes and I have to kill it. There is "Error deleting sources + buffers" in the log befor the freeze.

I am on the newest KUbuntu (18.04) by the way, it may help knowing this.

I hope it may help. If you want more testers, maybe we can ping @gamingonlinux on twitter saying you have a beta. They may help.

Thanks for the leads! This is truly uncharted territory for me so any help at all is huge!
