Gameplay Questions
Hi,

Just picked up the game today - really liking it so far. Just got a few questions:

1. How do you recover Mana? Are potions the only way?

2. When you lose a tool (like the axe and the pickaxe) by dying, how can you recover it?

3. What do the ship's crewmembers' stats do?

Maybe this'll all become clear later on, but I just want to check I'm not missing anything.

Ah! I just noticed that I still have all my tools in my inventory! They're just unequipped when you die.

And my mana does seem to recover as I play, but I'm not sure whether it's just time that does it, or some kind of collectible.

As for crew stats, I'll take a guess - arrow is Boarding skill, explody thing is cannonball strength (or speed?)? And food consumption increases based on how many crewmembers you have, I expect.

I'm also curious about the prices of goods. Based on the shop text I assume they change each day, but are they different in each port? Does a shop's stock have anything to do with the price? Is there some way to tell what a good price is, or do I just need to get a sense for what each good is normally worth?

You are almost 100% correct! The stock prices fluctuate a little bit each day, but some ports have cheaper/more expensive goods than others, to simulate demand in that particular climate/region. The idea is to get a general sense for the value of goods in certain ports.

There are mana drops, but I haven't fully tested them so there may be some surprises here or there.

For the crew, the arrow is actually the ship's movement speed and the explosion is cannon reload speed. The food does decrease with crew number.

Some have mentioned having an in-game explanation about tools in the inventory. I'm trying to come up with an elegant way to address it in-game.

Thanks for playing!
