look up your specs, or is that too confusing for someone who buys an apple computer?

He asked an honest question and you're for real gonna pull somethin' like that? Alright man, check out this website, www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri It might take some time to understand how it works. But that website will look at your hardware and tell you if you can run a game. Great to use before you buy something.

Macbook Air has the intel graphics card HD 4600, right? You could probably run the game on low to medium settings at 1366 x 768, assuming there's good driver support.

I'm not sure what your specs are, but I'm running the game on a 2011 Macbook Air, and it *is* playable, but barely. There is a lot of lag and I have to play with extrememly low resolutions. It is weird because the store page seemed to indicate that it would run just fine on my Mac. It may be an optimization problem. Check your gpu, for that is the main reason it doesn't run well on my computer. If you post your specs I can try to be more helpful.

Oh and btw, I find it funny you would say something like that. People using Macs are usually playing a few games in their free time very occasionally. Most people who own Macs are using them primarily for programming, writing, editing videos, etc. There's no reason for you to go ad hominem on people with Macs. They are extremely fantastic computers for doing what they were built to do.

Sorry for the vague question. Here are the specs:

Processor 1.3 GHz Intel Core i5
Memory 4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

Intel HD Graphics 5000 1024 MB graphics

Thanks!

There is a demo for the game available - it should be helpful in determining whether or not you can run the game well.

I'm fairly certain the demo is for pc only.

Your specs are certainly better than mine (I've got an Intel Core 2 Duo @ 2.13 ghz. 4gb ram, nvidia geforce 320m 256 mb) and I believe that those specs fulfill the minimum requirements. From what I've read online, Spec Ops: The Line doesn't run fantastic on any Mac (I say again, may be an optimization problem) but it will run ok on most. My final verdict would be this:

If you don't mind getting through some clunky shotting mechanics and you enjoy a good story, then buy this game now while it is still on sale. Worst comes to worse you will have to play at a resolution of 800x600 in order to get high frame rates. But for it's current price, this is definitely a solid purchase.

Something to help you as well. Whenever I'm considering buying a game I always consider the fact that anything I can play on Mac can also be played on Windows, so if I ever decide to buy a newer, more powerful Mac or Windows computer, the game will always be in my Steam library and I will always have access to it. For example, 7 Days to Die is a game I got for a great price, and it is virtually unplayable on Mac atm, but I'mvery excited about playing it eventually.

Hope all this helps!

The demo is only for the PC it seems. I think I'll just have to pull the trigger and get it!

Currently the game has issues with menus not working and audio/ storyline info..i am pissed that I can't enjoy the game for what it is.

They are exactly like their Windows based counterparts with nearly the same hardware in them anymore..........so you can say the same thing about a Windows based laptop too! The days of proprietary Apple hardware are over with. I see no difference in performance if you put them head to head with the same class of hardware. Endpoint, it's a notebook with an Intel chipset for graphics.......it's not going to game all that great!
